A new plan for the introduction of DTT services in Poland may be adopted at the beginning of 2010.
According to Wirtualne Media, the country’s leading commercial broadcasters Polsat, TVN and TV4 have proposed that the first multiplex, which ostensibly made its debut at the end of September, should be allocated solely to the publicly owned TVP, while they should be placed on the second multiplex.
The plan is understood to have the support of both the Office of Electronic Communications (UKE) and National Broadcasting Council (KRRiT). A meeting to discuss it is scheduled to take place on December 21.
