Global Digital Broadcast (GDBTV) has announced that it will stream 48 channels, in partnership with Verismo Network’s VuNow service, to the Netgear Digital Entertainer Live set-top box.
The Netgear set-top (EVA2000) is a home media player, enabling live internet channels, web availability, the playback of personal movies, music and photo collections on a standard or HD television set without the need for a PC. The features on the box include access to YouTube, (video) websites such as the BBC; NASCAR; CNN and National Geographic, making the television set a connected TV.
GDBTV currently has 48 channels on the Digital Entertainer Live, including: the world’s first guitarist channel, GTV; UK tourism channel, Places of Interest TV; dedicated gay lifestyle channel, TV Polari; niche sports with TV Scuba, TV Yachts and extreme sports channel TV Freestyle, alongside sports media specialist, Press Bureau TV; the UK Entertainment Channel; health and wellbeing channel, SWAT TV; African programming from Ghana Life and Africans In London; Classic Movies; and the new Very Tangy TV network. GDBTV will also be including its international networks at a later date.
