Slovenia’s second DTT multiplex has begun test transmissions, almost a year after its operator Norkring secured a 10-year licence from the Agency for Post and Electronic Communications (APEK).
Mportal reports that Norkring has to provide at least eight TV channels through the multiplex (B) in all frequency ranges covering the east, centre and west of the country.
Slovenia’s first multiplex (A) is operated by the public broadcaster RTV Slo, and both multiplexes employ MPEG-4 compression.
