RTL Nederland launches mobile TV news

RTL Nederland has launched a TV news service aimed at mobile telephones. RTL Nieuws will send an overview of the latest news consisting of 1-minute videos twice a day. In the case of breaking news, additional new videos will be sent.
People can subscriber to the ‘push’ service, which costs €0.55 per day for the two news updates. Subscribers need to download the application first on their mobile phone.
The service is developed by Serra Mobile in association with RTL Netherlands. At the moment it is only available for phones with Symbian, Windows Mobile, Blackberry and / or Java technology. Applications for the iPhone and Android platform will be introduced any time soon.
