BBC Worldwide Channels has promoted John Taite to VP programming, EMEA. At the same time the broadcaster has created three new heads of scheduling to assist in the further localisation of the channels in Poland, Africa and the Nordic region.
Taite, who was previously director of programming, joined BBC Worldwide Channels in 2007. He has overseen the creation of 12 fully localised channels across Europe, the Middle East and Africa as well as the relaunched BBC Entertainment. He will continue to report to Dean Possenniskie, BBC Worldwide Channels’ SVP& GM for EMEA, and David Weiland, SVP Programming and TV Channels.
