Poland’s second largest cable operator Vectra plans to radically overhaul its sports offer from the beginning of January at the expense of Polsat.
According to Wirtualne Media, it will no longer provide its subscribers with the Polsat channels Polsat Sport, Polsat Sport Extra and Polsat Sport HD. In their place will come both the SD and HD versions of nSport, as well as probably TVP Sport.
The move follows the failure of Polsat and Vectra to reach a distribution agreement.
Should talks between Polsat and Multimedia Polska, Poland’s third largest cable operator, also fail to reach a successful conclusion, Polsat sports channels will disappear from the latter’s networks at the beginning of next year.
