Eurosport Arabia today became the 10th local language website to be launched by the international sports network.
Having previously partnered with Yahoo, the new site is being produced in co-operation with the local telecommunications operator du. An editorial team has been set up in the Dubai Media City with du providing the technical infrastructure. Landing pages have been established for Egypt, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar and Syria.
The site is being written in both Arabic and French and has been simultaneously launched as a mobile site. It addition to coverage of the European football leagues there will also be detailed results and analysis of the Arab football scene. A wide range of other sports will also be covered including motorsport, basketball and the winter and summer Olympics.
