The Dutch cable operator CAIW has become the first in the country to add two more RTL channels to its HD line-up, as well as HD versions of the two Dutch language Belgian public channels VRT een and Ketnet/Canvas.
Both RTL4 and RTL5 are now available, in addition to RTL7 and RTL8, which launched HD version last October. UPC Nederland also carries RTL7 and RTL8, but will start to carry HD versions of RTL4 and RTL5 sometime next year.
As previously announced, CAIW has also started carrying Net 5 HD from the SBS Group, Eurosport HD and BBC HD. CAIW is the only Dutch operator to carry the two Belgian channels in HD as well as BBC HD and Net 5 HD.
The DTH provider Canal Digitaal Satelliet also offers VRT een HD in the Dutch market.
