Slovakia’s incumbent telco T-Com has extended its FTTx network, offering digital TV and internet access of up to 80 Mbps, to the towns of Martine and Ziari nad Hrinom.
The network already covers over 275,000 homes in 14 cities throughout Slovakia, including Kosice, Nitra, Poprad, Presov and the capital, Bratislava. Coverage has also been improved in the city of Banska Bystrica.
Investment in the network in the period 2007-9 has been put at almost €66.4 million.
