Vivendi/Canal+ Group acquire remaining 9.9% from TF1

Vivendi/Canal+ Group have announced that they will acquire the remaining 9.9% that TF1 still holds in Canal+ France. The transaction, worth €744 million, will be closed before the end of this year.
On December 31, the Group Canal+, fully owned by Vivendi, will have increased its share in Canal+ France from 65% to 75%. The shares were held by TF1 following the acquisition of the TPS platform by the Canal+ Group.
The Canal+ Group is also looking to acquire the 5.1% that broadcaster M6 owns in Canal+ France, also as a result of the TPS transaction in January, 2007.
