MTV Baltics has been suspended indefinitely and replaced with MTV Europe.
A report in the Estonian Free Press says that the Israeli company Ananey Communications had been considering closing the channel, which it has been operating jointly with MTV Networks International (MTVNI), since this spring due to the growing economic crisis in all three Baltic Republics.
Ananey Communications most recently launched MTV Israel in partnership with MTVNI,as well as a children’s channel in Romania with the satellite platform Boom TV.
MTV Baltics was launched in September 2006.
