Fox International Channels has decided to close down the French version of Foxlife on December 31. The channel was launched in 2005 but did not manage to become profitable.
Foxlife is now available on Orange TV, SFR, Free and Numéricâble; originally it was also available on the CanalSat platform, but the distribution contract was terminated at the end of 2007. Ever since, the channel “found it difficult to find its equilibrium ”
Fox Channels France has a number of channels on the market – Voyage, National Geographic Channel and National Geographic HD – and “is ready to further develop its presence in the market.”
