Austria ORS has renewed its interest in acquiring National Unit Radio and TV Systems (NURTS), the broadcasting unit of the recently re-branded incumbent Bulgarian telco Vivacom (BTC).
Novinite reports that ORS’s MD Michael Wagenhofer has confirmed the move. According to Wagenhofer a previous bid to buy NURTS failed earlier this year “because of various reasons, partly of institutional, legislative and regulatory origin.”
ORS is understood to have then offered €80 million, plus a commitment to invest a further BNG100 million (€51.2 million), for a majority stake in NURTS.
