Comstar launches new network

Russia’s Comstar-UTS has announced the launch of a backbone multiservice fibre-optic network between Moscow and Rostov-on-Don.

Costing some R146 million (€3.39 million), it will allow the company to provide local subscribers with a full range of fixed line telco services including broadband internet access and pay-TV.
