Swisscom’s IPTV network Bluewin added another 21,000 subscribers in the September quarter. It brings the number of installed homes to 186,000 and represents a year-on-year increase on 95.8%.
The company is attributing the success to the growth of on demand services and exclusive sports coverage.
Like so many telcos that have entered the TV sector this has to be contrasted with the loss of customers in the fixed line business, which fell by 3.3% over the same period to reach 3,520,000 lines.
