MobiTV, a US-based provider of managed TV and video content over mobile and broadband networks, today announced the appointment of Jan Olin to the role of MD for Europe. Olin joins MobiTV to drive the company’s planned expansion into the European market.
Olin has held senior executive positions in the mobile and communications industries since 1996 and intends to build on MobiTV’s success to date in North America, applying his product and business development expertise to define and execute the company’s market expansion strategy.
Before joining MobiTV, Olin was director of business development at Yahoo! Europe where he was responsible for distribution of Yahoo! mobile services, via major operators and handset manufacturers in the region. Prior to this, Olin spent ten years at Ericsson Group.
Olin will report to Anders Norström, COO of MobiTV.
