EXCLUSIVE. The new Dutch kids channel Pebble TV launches on November 12 at 06.00 on the cable networks of CAIW and Lijbrandt telecom. It will be free of advertising and intends to offer a schedule of non-violent entertainment. Negotiations are under way with all major operators.
Broadcasting around the clock, Pebble TV will offer Dutch and imported series. The channel is the brainchild of Henk Krop, former MD of the kids channel Kindernet, which used to be part of the WH Smith Television channel portfolio.
Pebble TV is funded by private investors. A separate feed for the Dutch speaking Belgian market is under development.
