R1 secures Czech satellite licence

The Czech commercial broadcaster FTV Prima has been the go-ahead to distribute its recently launched digital channel R1 via satellite.
Parabola reports that the country’s Radio and TV Council (RRTV) has granted the company a 12-year satellite licence, limited to the Czech Republic, for R1, which made its debut on DTT on June 15 this year.
FTV Prima currently operates the channels Prima TV, Prima Cool and R1.
