Polish joy for Viva

The music channel Viva has enjoyed a remarkably successful year in Poland, its ad revenues in the first 10 months, which amounted to PLN316,747,945 (€74,515,603), being 143.7% higher than in the same period in 2008.
According to data produced by TNS OBOP for Wirtualne Media, the public broadcaster TVP also performed well, the revenues for its first and second channels, at PLN1,409,473,815 and PLN911,373,578, being up by 21.6% and 20.4% respectively.
TVN secured the highest ad revenues in the first 10 months, its PLN2,215,209,547 being 1.7% higher than a year earlier. Although Polsat was in second place with PLN2,116,036,666, its earnings were down by 8.1% year-on-year.
