Polish ad market slumps

The Polish ad market in the first three quarters of this year was worth 12% less than in the corresponding period in 2008, according to data produced by Starlink and published by Wirtualne Media.
TV spend in the first three quarters amounted to PLN2,284.3 million (€536.8 million), or 12.8% less than in 2008. The biggest contraction was seem in the newspaper sector (-19.1%), with the only two media showing any growth being the internet (+7%) and cinema (+4.2%).
Total ad spend in the first three quarters stood at PLN4,826 million.
