Slovak Telekom and T-Mobile Slovakia are to merge into a single company within the next year.
According to Strategie, the move will be in line with their parent company Deutsche Telekom’s strategy to integrate its fixed and mobile divisions. It has already been approved by the respective shareholders of both companies, and preparatory work on the merger will shortly get under way.
The two brand names will be retained following the completion of the merger.
Slovak Telekom’s interests include the IPTV service Magio TV, which as of last month already had over 50,000 subscribers.
