Mirada is to provide Cabovisão with an enhanced VOD application and an EPG. The project is part of an upgrade by the Portugese operator that is under pressure from DTT and a burgeoning IPTV sector.
In a statement, Mirada said the total value of the project is likely to exceed €700,000. On completion, Mirada will then take on an additional maintenance contract.
“’We are focused on positioning mirada as the global leader in interactive technology and services and today’s agreement is an important step in increasing our presence in Europe,” said Mirada CEO José Luis Vázquez. “We expect to build on this significant opportunity and our delivery of an enhanced video-on-demand experience for thousands of users will hopefully lead to further new customer wins in the region.”
In August, Mirada announced the rollout of a new EPG on the ONO network in Spain.
