Telesat launches Luxembourg DTH platform
The Belgian DTH platform Telesat will launch a special version for the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, which will use the Astra and Eutelsat satellites for the distribution of its channels. The operator claims it is the ‘new alternative for cable and DSL’.
UPC boosts Slovak digital offer

More Canal Ready receivers hit the shops
New digital terrestrial receivers from Sagem and Servimat carrying the Canal Ready logo have been made available at retail in France. The devices are capable of receiving the free-to-air DTT broadcasts, but viewers can upgrade to Canal+ and other pay channels.
MTV and DSF might join HD+
MTV Networks Germany and the sports broadcaster DSF are talking to SES Astra about joining the HD+ platform for the German speaking market, according to a report in the Süddeutsche Zeitung.
World Skies NSS-12 ready for launch
SES World Skies has announced that its NSS-12 satellite has safely arrived at the European spaceport in Kourou, French Guiana, onboard an Antonov cargo plane. The NSS-12 spacecraft, manufactured by Space Systems/Loral (SS/L), will now be readied for launch onboard an Ariane 5 booster, scheduled for lift off on October 29, 2009.
