The Hungarian national transmission company Antenna Hungária plans to invest over HUF25 billion (€93.4 million) in its DTT service MinDig TV, which was launched at the end of last year.
Quoted in Econews and BBJ, the company’s CEO Jean-Francois Fenech said MinDigTV’s coverage of the country would rise from the current level of 60% of homes to 88% by the end of this year and 96% by 2011, ahead of ASO at the beginning of 2012.
Although MinDig TV got off to a slow start, it has recently improved its programme offer. Though still limited, it now includes the HD channels m1 HD, m2 HD and Duna HD.
