BT Vision has launched the IPTV network’s own shopping channel. Vision Shopping has been designed and developed by the channel management company Canis Media.
The on demand service has been divided into five categories, The Home, Sport and Fitness, Beauty and Baby, DIY and The Kitchen. Television personality Gaby Roslin guides viewers through an on-screen catalogue and its regularly refreshed inventory.
Ed Hall, chief executive of Canis Media, said: “This is just the beginning of an exciting new service, which for the first time offers viewers a truly tailored shopping experience. BT Vision has recognised the potential for an on-demand service to complement their programming and benefit from increased engagement with audiences.”
The technology behind the channel has been created by Emuse, running on the Microsoft Mediaroom platform.
