Kudelski’s VP of digital TV product Alex Osadzinski has been appointed to the board of directors at OpenTV.
Osadzinski, who already splits his home between Switzerland and California, joined the conditional access and technology provider in October 2008 after seven years with venture capitalists Trinity Ventures.
In addition to chairman André Kudelski, Nagravision COO Pierre Roy also sits on the nine-person board.
Kudelski controls 77% of the voting shares in OpenTV, which in June rejected the company’s $127 million (€99.63 million) bid to purchase the remaining stock.
