Telekom Slovenije grows TV sub base

Telekom Slovenije ended Q2 with 101,621 IPTV subscribers in Slovenia, or 71.5% more than 12 months earlier.

Its cable TV subscriber total more than doubled, from 3,182 to 7,326, over the same period, while the telco’s broadband connection total rose by around 14% year-on-year to 209,826.

Telekom Slovenije also has interests in Albania, Kosovo, Macedonia and Bosnia & Herzegovina (B&H).

Its operating revenues in the first half amounted to €410.8 million, down from €416.4 million in the corresponding period in 2008.

EDITDA and net profit were also down, from €164.1 million to €139.2 million and €48.5 million to €26.4 million respectively.
