The Business of Multiscreen Television
The Russian cable operator Akado has added two more HD channels to its offer.
Kinoplaz HD-2 offers drama, melodrama and comedy, produced mostly in the US and Europe, while Telesputeshestviya HD is a travel/cultural channel offering content from such leading international broadcasters as the BBC and NHK.
The two channels are included in a HD package that is being currently offered for a reduced monthly fee of R150 (€3.3).
