A new market study by the Portuguese communications regulator Anacom has found 16% of telecommunications users subscribe to a quad-play bundle of fixed and mobile telephony, internet access and pay-TV.
Most of those polled subscribe to one communications service (20.3% mobile telephony service and 12.6% fixed telephony). Significantly, 6.3% do not subscribe to any electronic communications service.
The survey conducted by Anacom and TNS-Euroteste reveals that multiple play penetration in December 2008 amounted to 23.5%, compared to 17.4% in the previous year. Among them, the triple-play offer is the most popular, used by 34.9%.
