Towercom has won the second Slovak DTT tender, beating off rival bids from Telecom Corp and Canada’s Valtech Communications.
The first tender was cancelled late last year following a legal challenge by Telecom Corp, and the second was opened by the Slovak Telecom Office on May 14 and closed on July 16.
Towercom has secured the right to operate three multiplexes, one of which will be allocated to public broadcasting.
Its interests already include the Czech/Slovak DTH platform Skylink.
