The Polish ad market slumped by 20.9% year-on-year in the second quarter, with even internet spend falling.
According to data produced by CR Media Consulting and published in Wirtualne Media, TV ad revenues in Q2 were 19.2% lower than in the corresponding period in 2008.
The biggest fall was seen in the print sector (-27.2%), while internet display spend was 6.9% lower than in Q2 2008.
CR Media Consulting expects ad spend in Poland to reach PLN6.36 billion (€1.54 billion) this year, or 14.7% less than in 2008 and even lower than that in 2007.
