Le Conseil Supérieur de l’Audiovisuel (CSA) has authorised the commissioning of 55 new sites for digital terrestrial television coverage.
It means that by the end of July, 88% of the French population were covered by DTT transmissions. The new sites were selected within those regions of the country that were previously underserved.
The CSA has set a coverage target of 91% before the analogue switch off process can commence.
