PrimeTel has introduced interactive advertising onto its PrimeTV IPTV platform, the first telecommunications operator in Cyprus to do so.
The privately owned telecoms company is using its own middleware for the platform, which allows for advertising elements to be seamlessly integrated into the user interface. Subscribers are able to access relevant videoclips, locate the nearest store and book appointments.
PrimeTV is a component of Twister, developed by PrimeTel R&D and Thunderworx, and including support for TV Zapping, VOD, multicast EPG, on screen Caller ID, network PVR and pause-live TV.
It will be on display in the IPTV Zone of IBC 2009.
