The Belgian DTH satellite platform TV Vlaanderen is offering free certified receivers to those viewers experiencing reception problems following the card change to Mediaguard 3.
Customers who no longer have reception of the Flemish language pack on their TV set can exchange their current receiver for an approved unit at no cost. In return for their old receiver, TV Vlaanderen is sending the S-BOX 8080 SD receiver, which has a retail value of €149.
Alternatively, viewers can buy the Philips 7121 HD for €59 (retail value €299) when they hand in their old receiver. The only condition for the exchange is that customers agree to a 12 month subscription extension.
Subscribers to TV Vlaanderen and the Dutch DTH platform Canal Digitaal Satelliet have been experiencing reception problems following the recent card change. As a result, the two platforms have been broadcasting the main Dutch and Belgian channels unencrypted.
