Elion grows subscriber base

Elion, the wholly owned subsidiary of the Estonian incumbent telco Eesti Telekom, ended Q2 with 88,400 IPTV and cable subscribers.
This compared with the 67,700 it had as of June 30, 2008.
Its triple play subscriber total meanwhile stood at 87,100 (62,300 in Q2 2008) and share of the cable market in Estonia grew from 24% to 29% in the year to June 30, 2009.
Elion also had 175,200 permanent internet connections, or 6,900m more than 12 months earlier.
