Bloomberg Television has hired Global Media Consult to further develop its distribution in Western Europe.
Cologne-based Global Media Consult is headed by distribution veteran Christian Knaebel. It already has contracts with Al Jazeera English, KBS World, Liberty Global, SABC News International, ZeeTV and Bloomberg Television.
Knaebel said he was honoured to have been appointed by Bloomberg: “This agreement strengthens our position as one of the preferred marketing and distribution consulting firms for broadcasters and platform operators from around the world. With our global network of experts and partners our customers benefit from in-depth local market insights, translating into more reach, value and efficiency.”
The appointment of Global Media Consult follows February’s decision by the business channel to close its foreign language channels in favour of a single English language feed.

"In an industry that experiences rapid change and often a confusing subsequent
constant supply of news, it is often refreshing to read an insightful perspective. Broadband
