The Belgian interactive applications provider Zappware has secured new investment which the company says will further promote the implementation of its local and international strategies. The Clear2Pay consortium is a vehicle for private investors Michel Akkermans and Jurgen Ingels.
“By welcoming an investors group based around Michel Akkermans and Jurgen Ingels alongside our existing investors LRM, we have created a second stable pillar of funding to support Zappware,” said CEO Patrick Vos. “We are very impressed by the expertise of Akkermans and Ingels in guiding companies through productisation and international expansion. We are convinced that we will now be able to approach the international market – which we have been entering the past two years with success – at an accelerated pace.”
Zappware has worked on interactive capability for a variety of platforms based on technologies such as MHP/OCAP, HTML, SVG, Flash, OpenTV, or plain Linux.
