The Polish DTH platform Cyfra+ has increased the availability of DTT channels to its subscribers.
The satcaster has undertaken an over-the-air update to its Philips PVR HD decoders to enable the reception of DTT channels, currently being trialled in a number of locations but due to become available on a full-time basis in September following the launch of the country’s first multiplex.
Both the PVR and standard versions of the operator’s HD receivers are hybrid units capable of both satellite and terrestrial reception.
As a result of the move, a total of 150,000 Cyfra+ subscribers will have access to DTT services.
