Tough competition for customers is reducing the revenues of Romania’s largest triple play providers.
Quoting Bakhyt Weeks, an analyst at Pyramid Research, ZF reports that the country’s fixed communications market will drop in value from €1.3 billion to €1.2 billion this year, mainly due to a fall in income per subscriber.
The hardest hit companies will be RCS/RDS, UPC and Romtelecom.
Weeks adds that Romania is likely to see significant growth in pre-pay mobile internet services from these companies as they seek to stimulate demand.
