The Benelux DTH platforms Canal Digitaal Satelliet and TV Vlaanderen have added History HD and the Dutch all-talk channel Het Gesprek (The Conversation) to their offers today.
With the addition of History HD, the two platforms now offer seven HD channels, with Discovery HD, National Geographic HD, MTVN HD, BravaHDTV, VRT Eén HD and myZen.tv completing the line-up.
Canal Digitaal is also believed to be in talks with the Dutch pubic broadcasters about the possible carriage of the three national channels in HD simulcast, due to start on July 4.
The 24-hours Dutch all-talk channel Het Gesprek fills the place left by Turner’s Cartoon Network/TCM, which used Canal Digital channel capacity on a shared basis.
