The Lithuanian satellite service provider SatGate has resumed transmissions from SES Astra’s orbital position at 31.5 degrees East.
SatGate was established in 201 and currently employs four transponders to provide broadband and internet connectivity to ISPs, households and end customers in CEE and the Middle East.
It began using 31.5 degrees East in August last year on Astra 5A, the former Sirius 2, taken out of service in January following a major technical anomaly. Astra 5A was replaced by Astra 2C this April.
