Accountants Deloitte are currently preparing a plan for the company to enter administration, however the process is by no means a certainty as founders Leonard Ryan and Michael O’Rourke seek new investors.
Meanwhile the company has ceased to take on new subscribers – with Setanta’s main attraction of Premiership football actually being in a closed season its audience is more likely to be surrendering their subs.
BT Vision, which resells subscriptions to the main Setanta channel, yesterday suspended new sales. It a statement the IPTV networks said it was closely monitoring the situation.
