Hallmark Channel is to disappear from Canal Digital screens from September 1, resulting in the loss of over one million homes in the Nordic region.
It’s one of a number of changes to the line-up of the Scandinavian DTH platform this autumn, which also see Toon Disney being replaced by Disney HD, and the HD channel Voom being replaced by its stablemate Rush.
Last December Canal Digital dropped the business channel CNBC from its line-up after the two were unable to reach a commercial agreement.
Hallmark Channel, operated in Europe by NBC Universal, remains available on rival DTH platform Viasat. It also has carriage on cable operators including Com Hem, GET and YouSee.
