NBC UNIVERSAL BUSINESS BREAKFAST – Moscow. Comstar-UTS has signed an agreement with NBC Universal Global Networks for carriage of Universal Channel.
Universal Channel has recently made its debut in a number of European markets including Greece, while in Russia it has been present since May 2008.
Speaking exclusively to Broadband TV News, Dmitriy A. Bagdasaryan, deputy DG and commercial director at Comstar-UTS, said that the agreement represents “a strategic deal for us”, with one of the main reasons for it being that “Universal supports our new strategy.”
NBC Universal currently distributes Universal Channel, Sci Fi, Hallmark and KidsCo in Russia.
