Swedish operator Com Hem has launched the Music Choice VOD service following a test period, which started last February.
Music Choice offers video clips on an on demand basis “and feels like free”, CEO Margot Daly told Broadband TV News. The videos are available to anyone subscribing to the basic digital service.
Viewers can request a string of four to five clips in one of eight different categories or they can search through the total database of available clips.
Placing music videos in the right tier is paramount for acceptance with viewers as well as making licence payments affordable for the operator. For more details, see the full story in the next edition of our sister premium publication New Television Insider.
