Hungary’s Antenna Hungária has signed an agreement with MTM-SBS Television, paving the way for the latter’s national commercial station TV2 to become available on the DTT platform MinDig TV.
The deal, which is valid until September 2020, will see a free SD version of TV2 carried on platform from next Monday (June 1).
It will also result in TV2 joining the Digital Organisation, founded by Antenna Hungária, and start to promote the MinDig TV service.
Launched in December last year, MinDig TV initially suffered from lack of content, but as of next week will have four channels (RTL Klub, TV2, Duna TV (HD) and Duna Autonómia) in its free to view service.
A pre-pay service named Terra+ will meanwhile continue to give viewers access to the news-based channels ATV and Hir TV.
