The Romanian DTH platform Boom has secured a satellite licence for what will be its second proprietary sports channel.
According to Media Expres, the service will be known as Boom Sport Two and complement the programming carried by Boom Sport One.
Boom, which is owned by the DTH Group, already holds rights to (amongst others) the Champions League, NBA and CHL.
Boom Sport Two will be included in a sports package costing €2 a month that Boom hopes will have up to 81,000 subscribers by 2011.
By then, the platform expects its overall subscriber total will have risen from the current 240,000 to 450,000.
