More HD for Russia’s Platforma

The Russian DTH service Platforma HD will begin trialling two new channels tomorrow (May 22).
According to Platforma HD, the channels in question are Women’s World and High Life. Platforma HD is the first Russian company to specialise in the distribution of HD channels, offering seven (nine with the addition of Women’s World and High Life) to cable and DTH viewers.
They include both local (Kinopokaz-1 and 2 HD) and international (Nat Geo HD, Eurosport HD and MTVN HD) services.
It also operates a sister service named Platforma DV, providing viewers with nine Russian SD channels.
