ANGA CABLE 2009 – COLOGNE. Harmonic will feature its converged video delivery solutions at ANGA.
The line up will consist of the vendor’s latest generation of digital video and HFC broadband access solutions for live or on-demand video delivery to any device, including TVs, PCs and mobile phones.
David Price, Harmonic’s VP of business development and marketing communications, says: “At ANGA, Harmonic will showcase a broadcast and on-demand solution portfolio for cable operators that is unmatched in performance, versatility, and functionality. Our new Electra 8000 platform sets a new standard for MPEG-2 and AVC compression efficiency and video quality, while our StreamLiner, MediaPrism and Armada on-demand solutions enable high quality time-shifted and place-shifted VOD services. We will also showcase our HFC transport systems, including the new SUPRALink family of products, that provide operators with greater reach to deliver more video and data to the home via fibre-deep architectures”.
In addition, Harmonic will show its Direct-2-Edge (D2E) cable IPTV system. It says that this a proven and deployed solution that optimizes delivery of video to IPTV set-top-boxes, PCs and other IP devices.
