The Slovak Telecom Office (TUSR) has opened a tender for two DTT multiplexes and one allocated to public broadcasting.
It has set 13.30 on July 16 as the deadline for applications and said that the selection criteria will include compression standard, start of broadcasting and percentage of population covered.
It has also stated its preference for candidates that would be able to move to DVB-T2 and offer additional services.
The selection process will be undertaken by a committee whose members will be appointed by the president of the TUSR. Although Slovakia opened a DTT tender last August, it was subsequently called off in controversial circumstances later in the year.
